What’s the story then?

“Something Real” was inspired by the idea that meaningful relationships, romantic or otherwise, are built through patience, perseverance and compassion rather than luck. The song reflects on the parallels between our connections with people and the passions, work and commitments we dedicate ourselves to over time.

Like music itself, relationships move through cycles of distance, frustration, joy and connection, and the song embraces the belief that difficult moments are inseparable from rewarding ones. Musically, the project sits somewhere in the electro-pop world, drawing inspiration from the groove-driven warmth of Parcels, Silk Sonic and Childish Gambino, and beneath its bittersweet tone is a hopeful message: nurturing the right connections in life is always worth the effort.

Visually, the project explores the feeling of being slightly out of step with the world, inspiring the concept of an alien travelling through the cosmos in search of love and connection for the first time. The release also marks a personal turning point, with a growing focus on songwriting and vocals alongside production and live performance.

Blending live musicianship with modern electro-pop, Stefan Celosia explores love, longing and human connection through a cosmic outsider’s lens. Something Real is out now on all major platforms.

Bio

Based in Glasgow, Stefan Celosia is a multi-instrumentalist producer, songwriter and performer that brings together a broad musical background spanning rock, pop, hip hop, jazz, funk, soul and electronic music. Writing, arranging, recording, mixing and mastering everything from a home studio in Glasgow’s South Side and drawing from the city’s rich musical tradition, he combines live musicianship with modern production into an electro-pop sound reminiscent of a mellow fusion of Silk Sonic, Parcels and Childish Gambino. His upcoming single, Something Real, out on June 5th 2026, explores the cyclical highs and lows of relationships, ambition and creative perseverance.
